Pick by what you need live on launch day. Starter (£25k, 2 months) launches one app or one website. Growth (£60k, 3 months) launches an app and a website, with integrations. Scale (£100k, 4 months) is for products where depth, not breadth, is the hard part.

All prices exclude VAT, and all three are fixed. Discovery then sets the exact scope inside the tier you pick. For how the price is built up, see how much a LaunchPad build costs.

The three tiers side by side

TierPrice (ex VAT)LaunchBest for
Starter£25k2 monthsOne app or one website, with one clear main journey
Growth£60k3 monthsAn app and a website, or a product that has to connect to other systems
Scale£100k4 monthsComplex features, advanced integrations and buyers who ask about security

Every tier runs the same four steps: Discover, Design, Build, Launch. Every tier includes an interactive prototype to test before anything is built. What changes is how much product fits inside the window.

Starter: one thing, done properly

Starter suits a founder who needs one product surface live. That’s either a mobile app or a website, not both. It works best when there’s one kind of user doing one main job, with few outside systems to connect.

A booking site, a customer app with a single core journey or a tool your own team will use are all Starter-shaped. It still includes custom design, analytics, a CMS so you can edit content yourself, and launch training.

Growth: two sides, or connected systems

Growth is the answer when you need an app and a website. Most two-sided products land here: a customer portal on one side and a staff or driver app on the other.

It’s also the tier for products that have to talk to the outside world. Growth adds single sign-on, which lets people log in with an account they already have, like Google or Microsoft. It adds third-party integrations, complex data and AI features. It also adds competitor analysis, a go-to-market strategy and help migrating existing customers.

Scale: depth and higher stakes

Scale is for products where getting it wrong would be expensive. Think advanced integrations, complex features and a fully custom interface with a brand system behind it.

It adds long-term product planning, a data and AI strategy deep-dive and deeper user analytics. It also includes a certification gap analysis. That’s a review of what you’d need to change to pass a standard like ISO 27001 or SOC 2. If your buyers will send a security questionnaire before they sign, start here.

Three questions that settle it

  1. Do you need an app and a website on day one? If yes, you’re looking at Growth or Scale. Our answer on getting both a website and an app explains the split.
  2. Does it have to connect to other systems? Payments alone rarely move you up. Single sign-on, CRMs and legacy systems do.
  3. Will anyone audit it? Health, finance and enterprise buyers often want compliance evidence. That points to Scale.

If you answer no to all three, Starter is probably enough. Plenty of good first products are one screen flow and a clear reason to use it.

When the tier isn’t obvious

Sometimes an idea sits between two tiers. That’s normal, and it’s one of the things Discovery is for. We map your users, features and launch plan, then tell you plainly which tier fits.

You don’t have to guess right before you start. If the plan coming out of Discovery doesn’t convince you, the money you paid for it comes back.

It’s also worth knowing what not to pay for. Architecture built for a million users solves problems you don’t have yet. A smaller tier with a clear launch plan teaches you more than a bigger one built on guesses.

What you have at the end, and after

Whichever tier you pick, launch day isn’t the end of the relationship. The product will need hosting, updates and the odd new feature once real users arrive. Our answer on maintenance and updates after launch covers who looks after that.

For a picture of what you walk away with, see what you’ll actually have at launch. The pricing page lists every inclusion per tier, and our answer on whether there’s a feature list explains how to read it.
