Why it mattered

Harassment had become so normal that children saw no point reporting it.

In June 2021, Ofsted visited 32 schools and colleges and spoke to more than 900 young people. It found sexual harassment so normalised that children didn’t see the point in reporting it. Its review drew on more than 2,000 testimonies shared on Everyone’s Invited.
