Im-Press

One-off prints, straight from every web shop Im-Press serves.

Im-Press prints one item at a time, each with its own design, colour and size, for charities, councils and businesses. We built the link that brings every paid order from every shop to their press, and sends the tracking back.

Why it mattered

Shop plug-ins print one design on repeat. Im-Press prints one-offs.

Over a quarter of UK retail sales now happen online (ONS, September 2025). The usual print plug-ins assume one shop selling the same design over and over. Im-Press prints one item at a time, each one different, for lots of small shops at once. Nothing off the shelf did that.

For supportersBuy a t-shirt, get a tracking emailNobody has to chase an order. When it ships, the shop knows and so does the person who bought it.
For Im-PressTake on another shop, not more adminEvery new shop plugs into the same console. A local printer can say yes to small customers the big platforms ignore.
The deadlineThe tour started the following week.Baton of Hope is a UK suicide-prevention charity. It needed its merch on sale before its 2025 national tour set off. Its shop was sending orders to Im-Press in time.

Orders

Every item is its own print job.

No two orders are the same. The moment a supporter pays, Im-Press gets everything that makes theirs different: the design, the colour, the size, their name and where it’s going. Nobody copies anything out of an email.

Agreed products

Nothing gets printed by mistake.

Each shop sells from a list of products agreed with Im-Press. An order for anything else is stopped at the door, with a plain note on the shop’s side saying why. Add the product, resend, and it goes through.

Tracking

Tracking finds its own way home.

When a parcel ships, Im-Press adds the tracking number once. The shop updates, the order closes itself, and the customer gets their tracking email. Nobody copies a number from one screen to another.

Many shops

Set up once. Every new shop just plugs in.

A small printer can’t pay a developer every time a customer opens a shop. So every shop adds the same plug-in and gets its own key, and every order lands in one console. We look after the lot. When Baton of Hope moved to a new website, its products came across unchanged.

The results

From one charity shop to 300+ orders a month.

Charities and councils now sell online and leave the printing to Im-Press. Their supporters get their orders, and their tracking, without anyone chasing. Event seasons are bringing thousands of orders a month, through the same console.

Why Contic?

The reach of a big platform, for a local business.

The first shop was live within weeks of the first call. We still host it and look after it, so Im-Press can get on with printing.

Need two systems to talk? We’ll join them up so nobody re-types anything, like we did for Im-Press. Product development
Want it to just keep working? We host it, watch it and fix it, so it’s never your problem. Infrastructure + security
Running a client’s website? We work alongside agencies and behind their brand, not against it. For design agencies
